Crowded pasar malam

Last Wed, i went to the pasar malam (night market) @ Taman Connaught. In case u are not aware of this, it was named as the longest night market in Malaysia. Of cos, I am not simply honouring them with that, but rather i heard this from Mix FM few years back. I cant remember when was the last time i been there, but i do remember it being very crowded. In fact, it still is...

There was this one particular stall which sells dessert fondue with melted chocolate into which fruits or marshmallow are dipped. The dipped fruits/marshmallow were then soaked into a bucket of iced water to harden the outer chocolate layer. It was then sold to consumers ranging from RM1 to RM3 per stick, depending on what fruit u chose.

A lot of people surrounded the stall, but only a minor of them are actually buying the food. I was one of the crowd who was just looking at how the whole process works, with astonishment.

This is the first time i see such kind of food being sold in pasar malam (although it might not sound new to u). Well, i havent been to one for a long time, if u are wondering.. I have only tried fondue once in a restaurant in Sri Hartamas.

There is another famous stall selling fried chicken fillet called Uncle BOB. I am not sure if u have heard about it, but it is really FAMOUS (quoted from my fren). Selling at RM4.90, not so cheap i would say, but it is good. No harm trying, and i think u will love it. If i am not mistaken, the taste might differ if u buy it from a different place/stall, cos this fried chicken thingy is franchised. SO u might be ended up getting it from another seller (who has a different way of preparing and frying the chicken).

It was a nice way of chilling out the night with frens.. do something different from mamak. Lots and lots of nice food. *slurp*

Connaught pasar malam really looks interesting. I always wanted to go and try the "chao taufu" but I will always end up in Taman Muda pasar malam. Now there's another attraction: fondue...ah well...
