Footsteps in Australia #4

7th Day ~ Warner Bros Movie World

It was a nice day for another theme park outing. If you guys havent know, the sun rises very early in this Land Down Under. I woke up briefly around 5am, and the sky was already bright. But knowing myself who can also sleep with the lights on, i had no problem dozing off again. :P

Movie World was really fantastic! We were welcomed with the sight of their latest attraction, Superman Escape. It is about 10 storey high, and it can go from 0 to 100km/h in 2 seconds! I got a slight headache after taking the ride, cos the speed was just too fast and my mind was trying too hard to concentrate on the thrills. Hahha.

We saw a lot of movie characters, including Marilyn Monroe who was performing with a group of dancers. I was skipping up and down the street, chasing the movie characters just to take a photo with them. I felt like i was a kid once more. *giddy*giddy*

Pinky Marilyn.

There was so many things to do, i wanna experience all the rides, i wanna check out all the places featured, i wanna see all the shows that is available.. we really have to move fast!

Shrek 4D Adventure was superb. Moving chairs, water spraying out from the front, almost touchable characters, great sound system.... how can i complain? I had so much fun that we didnt even have the time to grab our lunch. Luckily i brought a pack of biscuits, so we munched on them while we were watching the All Star Parade, featuring all your favourite Warner Bros. Movie World movie characters, including Scooby Doo and the gang, the Looney Tunes characters and all the blockbuster superheroes and villains.

Neo and Trinity with us. They were so cool even when posing for the shot.

The Polica Academy Stunt Show is an insane, crazy and catastrophic action show, all live stunt extravaganza featuring awesosme high falls, huge explosions and sensational car chases and .... crashes!! I have taken a few videos for my memories. Too bad i cant show u guys here...

Wonder Woman and, erm, who was that?

Bugs Bunny and Tweety Bird.

After spending the whole day there, Lee Yan and I took a bus and went to the Harbour Town Shopping Centre. It is an unbelieveable brand direct outlet shopping area, where u can discover outlet at prices up to 60% off! Harbour Town is a "must do" Gold Coast Shopping and Entertainment experience.

8th Day ~ Sea World

Just as i thought Movie World was giving us a hard time to explore everything in a day, Sea World was even more challenging. Not only the place is much bigger, there are more attractions available and all the shows are only shown at two different times per day. So we have to plan our time and schedules properly in order not to miss out any of them. Their operation hours is only from 10am to 5pm.

The entrance.

This is where I was exposed under the hot sun for the 3rd consecutive day. Some more i was wearing sleeveless, therefore i became so dark, until there's a mark on my body now. O_o

The first show that we managed to catch was the Dolphin Cove Show. The last time i saw any dolphin performing was when i went to Hong Kong 3 years ago. Although i knew their capabilities of being able to jump up from the water, swim in a very high speed and communicate with their trainers, i was still amazed. *jaws dropped*

Jumping high!

Same goes to the seal. Do u know that seal stands for "Sea Lion"? Last time, i used to think that they were two different animals.. haha, silly me. And there is one point i kept on asking ppl how to differentiate a seal from a sea lion! These people must have thought i was a dumb girl then -_-

Throw the ball to me!! :)

I was quite satisfied with our planning skills as we were able to finish checking out everywhere and experienced all the rides by the time they close the park. But poor Lee Yan, she was trying hard to cope up with my walking pace. Most of the time, she was left behind, not too far though. *oooppss*

The polar bear taking a shower under the hot sun.

The sun was about to set again on our way back to the apartment, just nice.
