Good bye Crocodile Hunter!

Steve Irwin, right, and his wife, Terri, with a giant Galapagos land tortoise at the Australia Zoo.

It was a shocking news which shattered millions of animal lovers around the world. The famous Steve Irwin a.k.a. Crocodile Hunter died doing what he loved best. I still could not believe what happened when my frens told me about what happened. His image in the documentary films came running thru my mind as the fact that he is gone sink in slowly.

Irwin was at Batt Reef, off the remote coast of northeastern Queensland state, shooting a segment for a series called "Ocean's Deadliest" when he swam too close to one of the animals, which have a poisonous barb on their tails that pierced under his ribcage and directly into his heart.

It was extraordinarily bad luck. It's not easy to get spined by a stingray and to be killed by one is very rare, according to marine neuroscientist Shaun Collin.

Irwin, who made a trademark of hovering dangerously close to untethered crocodiles and leaping on their backs, spoke in rapid-fire bursts with a thick Australian accent and was almost never seen without his uniform of khaki shorts and shirt and heavy boots.

That was really a great loss not only to the Australian, but to everyone else in the world. He will always be remembered for his great work and courage!

Btw, today is also Lok's birthday. Happy Birthday and may all ur dreams come true!
