Ciplak or original?

It was really the joke of the year.

Yesterday, we had our normal badminton session after work. My new team member, Eric decided to join us after getting his brand new racquet. I was playing in another court when all of a sudden, i heard the them laughing out loud.

Apparently, Eric took the wrong racquet because both of them are blue in color. And as he was trying to return a shuttle, he collided his racquet with Siva's. *praakkk* Everyone was stunned for a while, and then *giggles* and finally *burst out laughing*. O_o

See the impact of the collision.

He really thought it was his brand new racquet, and was already started complaining how he just use it for 30 minutes only. Mana tau, it was in fact our big boss's super expensive racquet. Wah lao eh, u should see the look at Eric's face. *sweat*

I bet he will never dare to go and play badminton with us again.... hehe :D

Btw, it was Wei Leng's birthday too yesterday. Happy happy birthday, pretty lady! Good luck in everything you do!

I cant catch up with the amount of tasks..

People say weekends are when u have all the relaxing time u need. But it doesnt really apply to me last weekend.

First off, i was in a karaoke session @ Redbox, Sunway Pyramid on Sat nite with my frens. It was a blast as i havent seen some of them for almost a year! I have a fren who has been building up his muscles for more than a year, and he has changed from a skinny him (55kg) to a muscular him (68kg). His body real solid man, my finger hurts when i tried poking him. O_o

Sorry lar, no pics.. malas wanna take cos it was so dark and crowded.

Cousin's birthday this Sat, i spent the whole Sunday looking for her birthday present. I got her a book about astronomy and stars. Quite costly, but since she like it, and hearsay she wanna become an astrologist in the future, i just need to make sure that big ambition dont get flushed down the drain just like that. *search for the angel*

Oh yeah, i was invited to IOI Marriot Hotel in Cyberjaya for a food tasting session yesterday. The food was nice and yummy! Whoever wanna find someone for another food tasting activity, u can let me know. Im more than willing to give u a favor :P

Celebrationsssss

We had a buffet lunch celebration @ Saisaki Japanese Restaurant last Wednesday, after the successful implementation of some system that u guys wouldnt bother to know. Initially we wanted to check out the japanese food in Ichiban, but we heard a few not-so-good comments about the place. Therefore, that explains why Saisaki is so crowded even on a odd weekdays. O_o

We even drank a small cup of hot and cold Sake, a traditional Japanese liquor. I never tasted that before, but it was ok. I still prefer the western liquor more. :P

The green tea cup compared to the sake cup. Big difference huh?

A toast to Jan Nee, our greatest contributor to the project! *yam seng*

Today, we went to La Manila cafe for yet another celebration. This time around, it's for the Sept babies, Siew Kim, Choo and Wei Leng. Wish u guys many many happy in returns!! No pics for this event, cos my phone no batt liao. -_-

Anyway, did u guys know that actually, La Manila is the original and first bakery of its kind? After that, the chef went off and opened another bakery called Secret Recipe. If u guys notice it carefully, the range of cakes and pastries are almost the same for the both bakery shop. And because of the boss of La Manila dont really know how to expand his empire, u know, marketing and business skills are involved.. so Secret Recipe became famous day by day. So ironic huh??!!

p/s: not too sure how true is this, but that is what i was told.

Miss ya much, PIG!

Lately, everyone seems to be pretty busy with their own work. Meetings, conferences, knowledge transfers, hand over tasks, blah..blah..blah.. Never ending routine.

Neways, we took some time off to have a farewell lunch (hope this is the last one) @ Modesto's Sri Hartamas today for my team mate, Chen a.k.a. Flying Pig. It was quite an ad-hoc event, as most of us were too occupied to finally realise that pig is flying away from us tomorrow.

Busy, busy with the menu...

This special pizza is called "Dragone". It do looks really special, but my coll said it tasted like roti naan :(

I had this Linguine Modesto Pasta (which costs 72 bucks if without the 50% discount promotion).. but nothing special to recommend about, except that they have a few pieces of crabs and huge prawns, super salty olives and a bunch of clamps in it. Okie, forgot to mention that, it was supposed to be for 2 person, but we shared it among 3 cos it is just too big (for me at least).

Sorry if im being too picky. But i expected more than that, for a dish that cost that much! -_-

Maybe [New Arrangement]

How many have u guys here had actually listened, or at least aware of the independent bands in our country. To be frank, some of them are actually as good, if not better than those foreign bands which may have been over-rated by the media. *applause*

Check out these locals @ i-bands. They have their own version of hits chart, and the songs are really superb, i tell u!

There is this particular song that i have been hearing non-stop lately, Maybe [New Arrangement] by Exiles. This band has been around for 3 years, and yet, this is the first time i get to actually hear their song. Way to go, guys!

I hope u will love it as much as i do. Wish i could see them perform live some day....

There I was
Waiting for a chance
Hoping that you'll understand
The things I wanna say

As my love went stronger than before
I wanna see you more and more
But you closed your door
Why don't you try
To open up your heart
I won't take so much of your time

CHORUS:
Maybe it's wrong to say please love me too
'Cause I know you'll never do
Somebody else is waiting there inside for you
Maybe it's wrong to love you more each day
'Cause I know he's here to stay
But I know to whom you should belong

I believed what you said to me
We should set each other free
That's how you want it to be

But my love went stronger than before
I wanna see you more and more
But you closed your door
Why don't you try to open up your heart
I won't take so much of your time

(Repeat CHORUS)
(Instrumental)
(Repeat CHORUS)

Happy Mooncake Festival

It was 2pm on a Sunday evening, and i just woke up. Yea, yea, i can hear some voices complaining and muttering in disbelief. Whatever *roll eyes*

Come on man, it is one of those weekends where i dont have to wake up so early either to fetch my mom to the morning market, preparing myself for an outing, do some crazy (window) shopping in the super high profile mega sales, or even due to the pressured pager beeps.

I cant remember when is the last time i had such a long sleep, 12 hours to be exact. Was it during the uni days? I supposed so. But i still cant beat my ex-hsemate's record of 16 hours in a row, and after an intermittent of a few hours awake, another round of sleeping again. At that point of time, i really wondered and scared if she has stopped breathing or what... -_-

She should get her stint registered in the Malaysian Book of World Records.

I attended one of my best fren's mooncake festival cum birthday party at his place last nite. Each of us brought some food over, so that he wont have to do all the cooking all by himself. Poor in planning and forecasting that is, we ended up with too much food on the table and some of us have to bring them back home in the end. I brought some snacks for the after-feast activity but no one could digest anymore food in their stomach. *burp*

Lighting candles is still a compulsory activity for the nite, although we are all grown up.

And we really forced ourselves to have a bite on the birthday cake cos it wont be so nice if we dont. Afterall, it was a birthday celebration too...

The hemisfera birthday cake i got for the birthday boy.

Oh well, gtg to clear off some movies in my laptop. It has been lying there for a few months..

It's your day, Kok Tong!

Happy Happy Birthday, my fren! I caught u by surprise with my SMS last nite, didn't i? Ngek, ngek, ngek :)

As far as i can recalled, we knew each other when i was in my 1st year of uni. U are one of the few seniors who i eventually got close to. U've helped me a lot during my uni days, guided me on how to pull thru the hard times. Even after i came out to the working world, u are still there, giving me advices and supporting me when i was in a major dilemma. There is no words that can describe how grateful i am to have u as a fren. *hugz*

Take care, and do keep in touch, no matter what happens! We'll find someday and hang out k?! U still owe me one meal, remember?

Wish that all your dreams will come true!! :D

Matta Fair is back!

For all the travel-lovers, this is great news for u guys! The long awaited MATTA Fair is finally here and as usual, it is held @ the Putra World Trade Centre, KL from 16th to 18th September 2005. Catch it before it is over!

My aunts went there early in the morning today. They, and me mom are planning to go to Australia sometime at the end of the year. They scouted high and low, hoping for the best bargain in town, and their feet of cos, had the best massage of the year too! Muahahhaa :)

Poor thing, but we all expected that to happen, especially when it comes to anything close to cheap bargains! :P

Luckily, their effort is fruitful in the end. At least there's something to exchange with the painful feet. ^_^

And i got a cute Tweety bird as a gift from the tour agency they've enrolled into. *add into my collection of dolls*

I got it, finally!

Tuesday was hectic, i tell u.

It was the first day of sales for the Snow Wolf Lake Musical Performance's ticket. One of my frens was supposed to get the tics for all of us. Somehow, he couldnt make it, and since my office is quite near to MV, its ok for me to go there and get them instead.

When i stepped into the Galaxie office @ the Boulevard, it was rather empty. Right then, i really thought i could select the best seats for the cheapest priced tickets that we are planning to get.

Little did i know that for the mere 2 hours since they opened the bookings session, more than one block of seats have been sold out! There are only 6 blocks available ler... Damn kiasu lar these people.. and NO, i am definitely NOT one of them *blek*

The first block of seats that we wanted to purchase initially has already been sold out, so we thought we wanna wait for the second best block to be opened for sale. Coming back after work to grab it would be just nice. And so i thought....

Slightly before i finished work, my fren called me frantically because the block that we were waiting for has been sold to DIGI (the main sponsor), and we were only left with the last and not so good block. O_o

Darn! I was so regret i didnt get the tickets during lunch when we could have a better seatings. *sigh* Too late for that. A lot of callings after that, check with this person lar and that person lar. Cos i wasnt only buying for myself, or for 2 or 3, but i was supposed to buy for 15, rite, u heard me. 15 tickets! U should have seen the face of the girl serving me. *macam tak percaya*

Mission accomplished before they closed the office @ 7pm! So it was worth it in the end, after all the traffics on the way to MV. *phew*

My credits are now left with 2 bucks. Guys, please call me if u needed anything from me, cos i need that credits for emergency... -_-

Snow Wolf Lake 2005

It's finally here! *jumps in excitement*

I've been hearing so much about this Jackie Cheung's Classical Musical performance. It has won a lot of praises from all over the world!

I was actually planning to go over to Singapore for this show, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, i couldnt make it. Now that they've planned to drop by to our dear Malaysia, i cant simply miss the chance of a lifetime! I'm gonna watch it by all means with my very own eyes... *no blink*

Btw, the bookings start today. U can get the tickets from any of the Axcess outlets or thru online. Dont wait anymore, act now before it is too late!

Euro Deli Grill

Almost every month, me and my bunch of crazy frens will plan to go somewhere new. Either going for a trip to release our stress @ work or just a simple outing to taste some nice food.

Neways, we went to Euro Deli Grill in Jln Yap Kwan Seng last night for some Swiss-German cuisines. It has a diverse variety of sausages, so it is no wonder that Euro Deli Grill is named as the “Sausage King of Malaysia”. However, their all-round favourite dish is Roast Pork Knuckle, which is really superb!

Euro Deli Grill

Ring sausage meal, my fren said it looks like sh*t. Ewww...

I had Mini Hamburgers (which was supposed to be an appetizer), mainly because its portion is small enuff for my stomach to digest. Still, i couldnt finish them off. =_="

My supposedly mini meal, but it looks rather big to me...

Overall, the food is quite nice. Worth trying, and the price is very affordable too.

p/s : they have recently extended their empire of restaurants in Damansara Utama. Check it out!

What happened to 1919?

Me and my frens were planning to go to 1919 Bistro & Piano Bar last night. The lounge bar has an Eclectic style, with great space, tempting food and cool music.

We drove all the way to Jln Pudu Lama, where the nostalgic bungalow with a stylishly urban outlook is located. But to our astonishment, we couldnt find the place at all. None of the well-lit bungalows bear the name close to 1919!!

I am very sure it's there somewhere, cos i've seen the map on the net. We asked one of the waiters in another restaurant and he told us that it was temporarily closed. WTH! I just read about the place in last month's Juice Magazine. Is it that coincident? Only a few days journey in the month of September... O_o

We couldnt do anything, but to switch our destination to La Bodega in Tengkat Tung Shin. Cool place, tried their home made Sangria wine, tasted fine.

No performance though, *sigh*disappointed*

We had some snacks and chatted a bit more @ Sweet Talk before we headed home for the night.
I dont care, i am gonna go to 1919 again someday. Hopefully, there are not closing the place permanently. -_-

Little Michelle

I was relaxing just now after resolving some load issues, when my little cousin sister, Michelle dropped by with her mom and bro. She is a very sweet girl and used to be very quiet, ask her 10 questions, she barely will answer 1. Nevertheless, she will always smile and make your heart melts. ^_^

Recently, she took a lot of initiative to make the first move to start a topic. She started talking about how she likes Barbie Dolls, and Sponge Bob cartoons and Enid Blyton's story books. Oh wait... i got a few of the Enid Blyton's collection, so i went and dig them out for her.

She was really excited indeed, although the books are pretty old and a bit torn dy. Well, i had them since i was like 5 okay, so considered very good liao. I can still find them in less than 5 mins, shows how organized my books are in the shelf. Hehe *proud*

All of a sudden, she asked me;

"What is your favourite song?"
"erm, Lonely by Akon!" *grin*
"oh, i like that song too." *what?*
"oh okay, what is your favourite then?"

U wont believe it when she listed out her top 5 favourite songs *see below*

1. California Dreaming - The Mamas and The Papas
2. Too Much Heaven - Bee Gees
3. New York Mining Disaster 1941 - Bee Gees
4. Summer Holiday - Cliff Richard
5. Move It - Cliff Richard

OH MY GOSH! I was speechless!

She did not even mistakenly saying the title of those songs... *_*
I told her that im gonna bring her to karaoke one day and she will sing those songs for me. She remembered all the lyrics k. No jokes.

Those songs are very old dy and she's only 9 years old! Some i havent really heard of it myself.

She also told me that her ambition is to be an "architect or animal doctor". Cute kid, i foresee a great future ahead of her.

Btw, gotta wish her a Happy Belated Birthday! It was on Sept 2nd and i didnt know about it. But, I've promised to get her a belated birthday present, and i know just what i wanna buy :D

*muaks*

On another occasion earlier this morning, i was searching for something to eat and i recalled i have a pack of Crispy choc in the fridge. But when i opened it to take a bite, i was taken aback! It was covered with something like a spider web!

Look at that!!!

Okay, first is the 100 Plus and this time is chocs. Do u think i should really go and buy 4D?! O_o

Tiring week

The project that i have been working on for the past few months has finally gone live last Wed. But of all the dates in the year, they chose 31st Aug to go live. It was supposed to be a holiday for Malaysia, it was supposed to be the INDEPENDENCE DAY! But we were grounded, some at home and some in the office, working. -_-

Prior to that, i have planned to spend the whole day with my fren who came all the way down from Penang. I havent been seeing her since last year, and it would be a good time to catch things up. *sigh*

Nevertheless, i still managed to meet her after my work, speeding @ 120km/h on a non-hiway road, and stucked in a major jam outside 1U. Peky, u better appreciate it and pray hard that im not getting any summons for that!

After dinner @ JJ Super Sandwiches (where almost everyone complained the food was too salty ~ i wonder if the chef thought we were lack of sodium carbonat, is that what we call it in science term?), Peky and i went to Honey Bee Cafe for a drink with Paul and his gf, Angel. Nice to meet u, Angel!

The design of the cafe is cute, and they had our photo taken to be put on the board at the entrance. I wanna check it out next time :)

They had this yellow mini car at the center of the cafe. Cutie bee sitting on top :P

I really had a lot of fun, enjoyed every single minute we had. Luv ya lots! *hugz*
