Bali...nese?

Bali is a famous tourist attraction place in Indonesia, i'm sure everyone knows that. But do u know what does a Balinese food taste like?

When Clive said he wanna bring me to have Balinese food in Puchong, my mind keeps on wondering what sort of food are they serving? Malay food? Cos Bali is located in Indonesia *logically thinking* Anyway, it is gotta be good!

Bumbu Bali, it is called. A restaurant with a very nice environment, cosy and yet, mysteriously interesting. It was decorated with alot of wood carved in a special kind of way, which really made u feel like u are physically dining in Bali. Not bad.. not bad.

And i have my question answered. The food is a mixture of Vietnamese, Cambodian and Indon style. Hot and spicy! *burning flame*

We ordered a few dishes for sharing, and the waiter stopped us halfway, cos he was shocked that we ordered so much for 2 person. He was more worry than us that we couldnt finish the meal. So we cut the order short. :P

And yes, he was right, we couldnt finish them. I felt really bad for forcing Clive to clear the plate.. haha, erm, i bet next time u wouldnt dare to order so much when u eat with me. *ngek*ngek*ngek*

Later that night, we headed to Winter Warmers @ The Curve for a drink. The place is well known for its pancake, but my stomach just couldnt take anymore.

By the way, nice Apple notebook u got there! I like white.. and blue!

Ciplak or original?

It was really the joke of the year.

Yesterday, we had our normal badminton session after work. My new team member, Eric decided to join us after getting his brand new racquet. I was playing in another court when all of a sudden, i heard the them laughing out loud.

Apparently, Eric took the wrong racquet because both of them are blue in color. And as he was trying to return a shuttle, he collided his racquet with Siva's. *praakkk* Everyone was stunned for a while, and then *giggles* and finally *burst out laughing*. O_o

See the impact of the collision.

He really thought it was his brand new racquet, and was already started complaining how he just use it for 30 minutes only. Mana tau, it was in fact our big boss's super expensive racquet. Wah lao eh, u should see the look at Eric's face. *sweat*

I bet he will never dare to go and play badminton with us again.... hehe :D

Btw, it was Wei Leng's birthday too yesterday. Happy happy birthday, pretty lady! Good luck in everything you do!

I cant catch up with the amount of tasks..

People say weekends are when u have all the relaxing time u need. But it doesnt really apply to me last weekend.

First off, i was in a karaoke session @ Redbox, Sunway Pyramid on Sat nite with my frens. It was a blast as i havent seen some of them for almost a year! I have a fren who has been building up his muscles for more than a year, and he has changed from a skinny him (55kg) to a muscular him (68kg). His body real solid man, my finger hurts when i tried poking him. O_o

Sorry lar, no pics.. malas wanna take cos it was so dark and crowded.

Cousin's birthday this Sat, i spent the whole Sunday looking for her birthday present. I got her a book about astronomy and stars. Quite costly, but since she like it, and hearsay she wanna become an astrologist in the future, i just need to make sure that big ambition dont get flushed down the drain just like that. *search for the angel*

Oh yeah, i was invited to IOI Marriot Hotel in Cyberjaya for a food tasting session yesterday. The food was nice and yummy! Whoever wanna find someone for another food tasting activity, u can let me know. Im more than willing to give u a favor :P

Celebrationsssss

We had a buffet lunch celebration @ Saisaki Japanese Restaurant last Wednesday, after the successful implementation of some system that u guys wouldnt bother to know. Initially we wanted to check out the japanese food in Ichiban, but we heard a few not-so-good comments about the place. Therefore, that explains why Saisaki is so crowded even on a odd weekdays. O_o

We even drank a small cup of hot and cold Sake, a traditional Japanese liquor. I never tasted that before, but it was ok. I still prefer the western liquor more. :P

The green tea cup compared to the sake cup. Big difference huh?

A toast to Jan Nee, our greatest contributor to the project! *yam seng*

Today, we went to La Manila cafe for yet another celebration. This time around, it's for the Sept babies, Siew Kim, Choo and Wei Leng. Wish u guys many many happy in returns!! No pics for this event, cos my phone no batt liao. -_-

Anyway, did u guys know that actually, La Manila is the original and first bakery of its kind? After that, the chef went off and opened another bakery called Secret Recipe. If u guys notice it carefully, the range of cakes and pastries are almost the same for the both bakery shop. And because of the boss of La Manila dont really know how to expand his empire, u know, marketing and business skills are involved.. so Secret Recipe became famous day by day. So ironic huh??!!

p/s: not too sure how true is this, but that is what i was told.

Miss ya much, PIG!

Lately, everyone seems to be pretty busy with their own work. Meetings, conferences, knowledge transfers, hand over tasks, blah..blah..blah.. Never ending routine.

Neways, we took some time off to have a farewell lunch (hope this is the last one) @ Modesto's Sri Hartamas today for my team mate, Chen a.k.a. Flying Pig. It was quite an ad-hoc event, as most of us were too occupied to finally realise that pig is flying away from us tomorrow.

Busy, busy with the menu...

This special pizza is called "Dragone". It do looks really special, but my coll said it tasted like roti naan :(

I had this Linguine Modesto Pasta (which costs 72 bucks if without the 50% discount promotion).. but nothing special to recommend about, except that they have a few pieces of crabs and huge prawns, super salty olives and a bunch of clamps in it. Okie, forgot to mention that, it was supposed to be for 2 person, but we shared it among 3 cos it is just too big (for me at least).

Sorry if im being too picky. But i expected more than that, for a dish that cost that much! -_-

Maybe [New Arrangement]

How many have u guys here had actually listened, or at least aware of the independent bands in our country. To be frank, some of them are actually as good, if not better than those foreign bands which may have been over-rated by the media. *applause*

Check out these locals @ i-bands. They have their own version of hits chart, and the songs are really superb, i tell u!

There is this particular song that i have been hearing non-stop lately, Maybe [New Arrangement] by Exiles. This band has been around for 3 years, and yet, this is the first time i get to actually hear their song. Way to go, guys!

I hope u will love it as much as i do. Wish i could see them perform live some day....

There I was
Waiting for a chance
Hoping that you'll understand
The things I wanna say

As my love went stronger than before
I wanna see you more and more
But you closed your door
Why don't you try
To open up your heart
I won't take so much of your time

CHORUS:
Maybe it's wrong to say please love me too
'Cause I know you'll never do
Somebody else is waiting there inside for you
Maybe it's wrong to love you more each day
'Cause I know he's here to stay
But I know to whom you should belong

I believed what you said to me
We should set each other free
That's how you want it to be

But my love went stronger than before
I wanna see you more and more
But you closed your door
Why don't you try to open up your heart
I won't take so much of your time

(Repeat CHORUS)
(Instrumental)
(Repeat CHORUS)

Happy Mooncake Festival

It was 2pm on a Sunday evening, and i just woke up. Yea, yea, i can hear some voices complaining and muttering in disbelief. Whatever *roll eyes*

Come on man, it is one of those weekends where i dont have to wake up so early either to fetch my mom to the morning market, preparing myself for an outing, do some crazy (window) shopping in the super high profile mega sales, or even due to the pressured pager beeps.

I cant remember when is the last time i had such a long sleep, 12 hours to be exact. Was it during the uni days? I supposed so. But i still cant beat my ex-hsemate's record of 16 hours in a row, and after an intermittent of a few hours awake, another round of sleeping again. At that point of time, i really wondered and scared if she has stopped breathing or what... -_-

She should get her stint registered in the Malaysian Book of World Records.

I attended one of my best fren's mooncake festival cum birthday party at his place last nite. Each of us brought some food over, so that he wont have to do all the cooking all by himself. Poor in planning and forecasting that is, we ended up with too much food on the table and some of us have to bring them back home in the end. I brought some snacks for the after-feast activity but no one could digest anymore food in their stomach. *burp*

Lighting candles is still a compulsory activity for the nite, although we are all grown up.

And we really forced ourselves to have a bite on the birthday cake cos it wont be so nice if we dont. Afterall, it was a birthday celebration too...

The hemisfera birthday cake i got for the birthday boy.

Oh well, gtg to clear off some movies in my laptop. It has been lying there for a few months..

It's your day, Kok Tong!

Happy Happy Birthday, my fren! I caught u by surprise with my SMS last nite, didn't i? Ngek, ngek, ngek :)

As far as i can recalled, we knew each other when i was in my 1st year of uni. U are one of the few seniors who i eventually got close to. U've helped me a lot during my uni days, guided me on how to pull thru the hard times. Even after i came out to the working world, u are still there, giving me advices and supporting me when i was in a major dilemma. There is no words that can describe how grateful i am to have u as a fren. *hugz*

Take care, and do keep in touch, no matter what happens! We'll find someday and hang out k?! U still owe me one meal, remember?

Wish that all your dreams will come true!! :D

Matta Fair is back!

For all the travel-lovers, this is great news for u guys! The long awaited MATTA Fair is finally here and as usual, it is held @ the Putra World Trade Centre, KL from 16th to 18th September 2005. Catch it before it is over!

My aunts went there early in the morning today. They, and me mom are planning to go to Australia sometime at the end of the year. They scouted high and low, hoping for the best bargain in town, and their feet of cos, had the best massage of the year too! Muahahhaa :)

Poor thing, but we all expected that to happen, especially when it comes to anything close to cheap bargains! :P

Luckily, their effort is fruitful in the end. At least there's something to exchange with the painful feet. ^_^

And i got a cute Tweety bird as a gift from the tour agency they've enrolled into. *add into my collection of dolls*

I got it, finally!

Tuesday was hectic, i tell u.

It was the first day of sales for the Snow Wolf Lake Musical Performance's ticket. One of my frens was supposed to get the tics for all of us. Somehow, he couldnt make it, and since my office is quite near to MV, its ok for me to go there and get them instead.

When i stepped into the Galaxie office @ the Boulevard, it was rather empty. Right then, i really thought i could select the best seats for the cheapest priced tickets that we are planning to get.

Little did i know that for the mere 2 hours since they opened the bookings session, more than one block of seats have been sold out! There are only 6 blocks available ler... Damn kiasu lar these people.. and NO, i am definitely NOT one of them *blek*

The first block of seats that we wanted to purchase initially has already been sold out, so we thought we wanna wait for the second best block to be opened for sale. Coming back after work to grab it would be just nice. And so i thought....

Slightly before i finished work, my fren called me frantically because the block that we were waiting for has been sold to DIGI (the main sponsor), and we were only left with the last and not so good block. O_o

Darn! I was so regret i didnt get the tickets during lunch when we could have a better seatings. *sigh* Too late for that. A lot of callings after that, check with this person lar and that person lar. Cos i wasnt only buying for myself, or for 2 or 3, but i was supposed to buy for 15, rite, u heard me. 15 tickets! U should have seen the face of the girl serving me. *macam tak percaya*

Mission accomplished before they closed the office @ 7pm! So it was worth it in the end, after all the traffics on the way to MV. *phew*

My credits are now left with 2 bucks. Guys, please call me if u needed anything from me, cos i need that credits for emergency... -_-

Snow Wolf Lake 2005

It's finally here! *jumps in excitement*

I've been hearing so much about this Jackie Cheung's Classical Musical performance. It has won a lot of praises from all over the world!

I was actually planning to go over to Singapore for this show, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, i couldnt make it. Now that they've planned to drop by to our dear Malaysia, i cant simply miss the chance of a lifetime! I'm gonna watch it by all means with my very own eyes... *no blink*

Btw, the bookings start today. U can get the tickets from any of the Axcess outlets or thru online. Dont wait anymore, act now before it is too late!

Euro Deli Grill

Almost every month, me and my bunch of crazy frens will plan to go somewhere new. Either going for a trip to release our stress @ work or just a simple outing to taste some nice food.

Neways, we went to Euro Deli Grill in Jln Yap Kwan Seng last night for some Swiss-German cuisines. It has a diverse variety of sausages, so it is no wonder that Euro Deli Grill is named as the “Sausage King of Malaysia”. However, their all-round favourite dish is Roast Pork Knuckle, which is really superb!

Euro Deli Grill

Ring sausage meal, my fren said it looks like sh*t. Ewww...

I had Mini Hamburgers (which was supposed to be an appetizer), mainly because its portion is small enuff for my stomach to digest. Still, i couldnt finish them off. =_="

My supposedly mini meal, but it looks rather big to me...

Overall, the food is quite nice. Worth trying, and the price is very affordable too.

p/s : they have recently extended their empire of restaurants in Damansara Utama. Check it out!

What happened to 1919?

Me and my frens were planning to go to 1919 Bistro & Piano Bar last night. The lounge bar has an Eclectic style, with great space, tempting food and cool music.

We drove all the way to Jln Pudu Lama, where the nostalgic bungalow with a stylishly urban outlook is located. But to our astonishment, we couldnt find the place at all. None of the well-lit bungalows bear the name close to 1919!!

I am very sure it's there somewhere, cos i've seen the map on the net. We asked one of the waiters in another restaurant and he told us that it was temporarily closed. WTH! I just read about the place in last month's Juice Magazine. Is it that coincident? Only a few days journey in the month of September... O_o

We couldnt do anything, but to switch our destination to La Bodega in Tengkat Tung Shin. Cool place, tried their home made Sangria wine, tasted fine.

No performance though, *sigh*disappointed*

We had some snacks and chatted a bit more @ Sweet Talk before we headed home for the night.
I dont care, i am gonna go to 1919 again someday. Hopefully, there are not closing the place permanently. -_-

Little Michelle

I was relaxing just now after resolving some load issues, when my little cousin sister, Michelle dropped by with her mom and bro. She is a very sweet girl and used to be very quiet, ask her 10 questions, she barely will answer 1. Nevertheless, she will always smile and make your heart melts. ^_^

Recently, she took a lot of initiative to make the first move to start a topic. She started talking about how she likes Barbie Dolls, and Sponge Bob cartoons and Enid Blyton's story books. Oh wait... i got a few of the Enid Blyton's collection, so i went and dig them out for her.

She was really excited indeed, although the books are pretty old and a bit torn dy. Well, i had them since i was like 5 okay, so considered very good liao. I can still find them in less than 5 mins, shows how organized my books are in the shelf. Hehe *proud*

All of a sudden, she asked me;

"What is your favourite song?"
"erm, Lonely by Akon!" *grin*
"oh, i like that song too." *what?*
"oh okay, what is your favourite then?"

U wont believe it when she listed out her top 5 favourite songs *see below*

1. California Dreaming - The Mamas and The Papas
2. Too Much Heaven - Bee Gees
3. New York Mining Disaster 1941 - Bee Gees
4. Summer Holiday - Cliff Richard
5. Move It - Cliff Richard

OH MY GOSH! I was speechless!

She did not even mistakenly saying the title of those songs... *_*
I told her that im gonna bring her to karaoke one day and she will sing those songs for me. She remembered all the lyrics k. No jokes.

Those songs are very old dy and she's only 9 years old! Some i havent really heard of it myself.

She also told me that her ambition is to be an "architect or animal doctor". Cute kid, i foresee a great future ahead of her.

Btw, gotta wish her a Happy Belated Birthday! It was on Sept 2nd and i didnt know about it. But, I've promised to get her a belated birthday present, and i know just what i wanna buy :D

*muaks*

On another occasion earlier this morning, i was searching for something to eat and i recalled i have a pack of Crispy choc in the fridge. But when i opened it to take a bite, i was taken aback! It was covered with something like a spider web!

Look at that!!!

Okay, first is the 100 Plus and this time is chocs. Do u think i should really go and buy 4D?! O_o

Tiring week

The project that i have been working on for the past few months has finally gone live last Wed. But of all the dates in the year, they chose 31st Aug to go live. It was supposed to be a holiday for Malaysia, it was supposed to be the INDEPENDENCE DAY! But we were grounded, some at home and some in the office, working. -_-

Prior to that, i have planned to spend the whole day with my fren who came all the way down from Penang. I havent been seeing her since last year, and it would be a good time to catch things up. *sigh*

Nevertheless, i still managed to meet her after my work, speeding @ 120km/h on a non-hiway road, and stucked in a major jam outside 1U. Peky, u better appreciate it and pray hard that im not getting any summons for that!

After dinner @ JJ Super Sandwiches (where almost everyone complained the food was too salty ~ i wonder if the chef thought we were lack of sodium carbonat, is that what we call it in science term?), Peky and i went to Honey Bee Cafe for a drink with Paul and his gf, Angel. Nice to meet u, Angel!

The design of the cafe is cute, and they had our photo taken to be put on the board at the entrance. I wanna check it out next time :)

They had this yellow mini car at the center of the cafe. Cutie bee sitting on top :P

I really had a lot of fun, enjoyed every single minute we had. Luv ya lots! *hugz*

Happy Graduation Day, Ji Ric!

My house has been surrounded by noise pollution! S.O.S!!

This morning, i was awakened abruptly by a super loud song sang by Siti Nurhaliza. And at one time, while i was still half conscious, i was surprised as to why the Chinese temple put up a "Malay" song???

Mana tahu, it was from a Malay neighbour at the other opposite road of my house (well, my hse is located at a crossroad, so u can imagine how many houses can be stated as "opposite"). They are having a wedding ceremony, hence the musics and the kompangs and the crowd. O_o

No need to sleep liao.

Me and my frens went to Ji Ric's convocation @ Wisma MCA, KL in the evening. It does feels a bit odd, having a graduation ceremony in the middle of the city centre, without any universities in sight. And so there goes the last convocation among my gang of frens (i think, is there anyone else?)!

After the UTAR Inaugural Convocation 2005, we had dinner @ The Coliseum Cafe & Hotel, located at Jalan TAR. It is a very old fashioned restaurant, very very very ancient. The moment i stepped my feet in the restaurant, memories flashed back to 60 years ago. I really can imagine myself in the 30's with all the antique tables, chairs, receptions, windows, doors, everything! For those hygiene-freak, please think twice before coming here. Old stuffs mean looking real old, some with stubborn stain which could have been there for ages. So dont be caught in surprised!

Hearsay, the place is famous for its sizzling steak, and they will cook and serve the dishes right infront of u. But we didnt try any of those. *blek*

*smoky*

Maybe i will go there again and try it. Believe me!

And finally, tonite will be the last noisy nite. As i was typing this, i can still hear ppl shouting using their mic. They are doing some lelong/bidding activities. -_-

"RM8888, any other takers?"
"RM10000!"
"Okay, RM10000. Anyone else? Going once, going twice, SOLD!"

Saturday, August 27, 2005

Another long day...

It is supposed to be another work-less and stress-free Saturday.

But no, watch my lips - NO!

I was told that a system which i am working on will be going live on 31st Aug. All the development team members are working hard to achieve the target go-live date.

And i thought i could get some rest after a long day, *sigh* the god worshipping thingy back home is going to last till tomorrow nite. And tonite is the kid's karaoke competition! Arggghhh!

I need the god's cake above... *slurps*

Thursday, August 25, 2005

Good bye Hui Siang!

Hui Siang will be leaving us today for a better career path somewhere else. We gave her a farewell lunch (a tradition we inherited out of nowhere) @ KimGary, The Curve. We had the whole stretch of combined tables at the end of the restaurant to accommodate us all.

We had so much fun talking after the meal until the group of ppl behind our tables were so shocked whenever we laughed out loud! Seriously LOUD i tell u. U should have seen the look of their face! *_*

The group of people who ransacked the restaurant!

All the best in your future endeavours!

When i reached home after the usual badminton session, the temple located diagonally opposite of my hse is having some god worshipping thingy, in conjuction of the hungry ghost festival. There's a lot of cars parked outside of my hse, and a lot of noise and air pollution! People are singing their lungs out in the karaoke competition and the huge joss sticks placed outside the temple are burning non-stop. Hear say they are going to hold it for 3 days... Well, what can i say.

Aquaria KLCC

It feels harder to wake up early in the morning after a long break. *yawn*

I have officially marked my 1st anniversary in this office today. Last year's today, i was still a newbie, who just got transferred from Seremban office. Well, newbie I am still now, but most of my team mates were gone.

Anyway, i went to the newly opened Aquaria KLCC on Monday. They are having a promotion till 31st Aug 2005 (Adult RM20, Child RM10), so my aunt grabed me along to go with her kids.

As i was about to leave the hse, i was greeted by this huge grasshopper on my desk. *faster faster grab my cam and snap a pic*

As still as a stone for me to take a shot :)

Although I have been to the Underwater World in Sentosa, Singapore and Ocean Park, Hong Kong last time (which is similar to this one), but i still feel kinda excited.

The giant glass tube welcoming us to the world of the fishes.

Apart from underwater animals, there are some insects and *ooh aah* animals on display too.

Huge hairy orange spider..

I particularly love this cute lionfish below. It's so adorable and harmless :)

Beautiful corals.

We spent more than 2 hours there and were all hungry by the time we came out. Had some delicious Kenny Roger's muffin before leaving back home and voila, parking cost us 11 bucks! Great! -_-

A weekend full of celebrations...

Its the time of the year again where i will be officially a year older. Not that im complaining for growing up, but good times always fly like a jet plane, and the not-so-good times crawl like a snail. O_o

My birthday celebrations started as early as Friday when my boss bought the 2 delicious cakes for us who were born in the month of Aug. Check out my previous post for details. *points to archives*

Thanks to all my colleagues for the birthday card and their wishes. I'm sticking it on my cub's wall so u are most welcome to drop by and take a look!

I had a hard time recognizing the signatures inside, u know...

Saturday nite was simply amazing. My ex-hsemates took all the trouble to plan for a steamboat dinner to celebrate my big day. That was the first time i celebrated a birthday with them eversince we graduated from uni more than 2 years ago. Although it is just a simple, small and private gathering, but it is very much appreciated! We joked, played, chatted, there is just simply too much to be done together, therefore I ended up staying over at her apartment. Thanks girls! I was so happy that nite. How i wish Peky was there too. Else it would be PERFECT.

I like the decoration concept of her apartment. Simple and nice.. lovely.

Clockwise : Louise, Kyoko, Hui Ying, Yee Ling & Jane.

Sunday morning's weather was breezy and relaxing. I attended my best fren's convocation in Universiti Malaya and it was super crowded, as expected. Since it's her graduation day, she got her bf to become the kuli to do all the photos taking and sweat wiping activities. Muahahaha =))

Anyway, Happy Graduation Day, Sok Yee!

See how many presents she got for her graduation? And that is just 1/3 of it...*gosh*

That nite, dinner was set @ Federal Hotel's Revolving Restaurant for MY BIRTHDAY celebration. We were feeling a bit dizzy at first, cos the restaurant wasnt revolving so smoothly, there were some hard chokes once in a while. But when the food came, everyone was too busy feasting than to bother about the dizziness :)

Frankly speaking, the food served are quite costly and not superbly tasty. So my wild guess is, people go there for their environment ~ which is great for dating couples. Guys, jot this venue down for future reference! *bwahahaha*

If we wait a lil bit longer, i think the whole cake will be caught in fire! :P

Group photo @ the first revolving restaurant in M'sia.

The last celebration on Monday was celebrated with my colleagues. We had a short karaoke session @ RedBox, The Curve. It was a great stress reliever, except for the mic fighting part... -_-

Thanks all for coming.

We snapped a photo in Ikea and pretending it is our own kitchen.

*day dreaming*

p/s : a lot of ppl have been asking me for the updates on my birthday, but i just havent got the time to write it for the past few days. Im not sick or anything, thanks for the concern. So here it is. Enjoy reading.

Happy Birthday Lee Yan!

Happy birthday to u,
Happy birthday to u,
Happy birthday to Lee Yan,
Happy birthday to u!

This is gonna be the first time that u'll spend your birthday away from home. It's winter season over there, so i guess u should appreciate it more since it's really special and very seldom to have the same opportunity again!! And u can do whatever u want without your family's knowledge. Hehe :P

I hope you will be able to enjoy it rather than being home sick. Dont work too hard, and take care of yourself! I'm missing u so badly! Call me when u are back for summer holiday k?

*hugz*

p/s: its really hard finding the best picture of u. All are so nice... *cant decide*

A day of farewell and celebration...

Today is the day, where i'll be a free girl again.

I was skipping to my team mate, Chen's cubicle around lunch time.

"what do u think u r doing?" *looking surprised*
"erm, i have a lil gift for u. tada... it's all urs" *handing him the pager with a grin*

MERDEKA!!! Okay lar. I know for u guys that have been doing support all these while might think that im over reacting, but im really feeling relief and happy that its all over. *phew*

Had lunch in Nippon Yataimura Japanese Restaurant @1U Old Wing. Today is Sau Pin's last day in ON. Oh, im never gonna have anyone to refer to when i have problems in my development work in the future. Im the only development team member left now, no, supposed to be the only permanent team member left now.... *lonely, im so lonely, i have nobody, im on my own*

Can anyone please translate?

We had a birthday celebration for all the Aug babies (Siew Kuen, Chen, Daniel, Uncle AJ and of cos including me!) in my company later that evening. My big boss bought 2 cakes from suchan® Restaurant.Bakery.Cafe ~ Tiramisu (their signature cakes) and Carrot Cake. Super DEEE-LIIIII-CIOUSSSSS! But it is kinda costly, more than 80 bucks per cake. O_o

Tiramisu & Carrot Cake *yum*yum*

My colls all waiting for Daniel, one of the babies. He was in a conference call with our user in HK.

Damn 'dai pai' man....

More details about the celebration in Jeff's. Note that the pics taken by him are way much clearer and nicer than mine, cos his newly bought Sony Ericsson K750i hp provide 2MP photos, whereby mine less than 1MP. So cannot compare lar.. rite??!! -_-

What could have been worst?!

Hey.

Yea, im still alive. -_-

I've experienced the worst nightmare that i could have ever imagine for the past few days. For those who saw me daily, u will understand what i have gone thru. *dark circles & big puffy eyes*

"wow, u have been pretty busy ar?"
"yeah, getting more than 30 beeps a day is really INTERESTING!"
"so u've been working late huh?"
"how u know?"
"your face shows everything, damn chan!"
*piak*

And as if my condition is not bad enuff, the haze is getting worst. The visibility has been reduced to less than 1km at my area. When i was out having dinner with my colls last nite in Hartamas Shopping Centre, he kept on pulling his tshirt covering his mouth and nose. Wah lau eh, dont do like that lar, it made me feels like covering mine too.. u know how those act can influence u.

As we were "happily" walking back to the office to resume work, *foot steps were abruptly stopped*

*Holy shit* The main door was closed and locked! And none of us had the keys. They were in the office, chucked peacefully in my drawer. O_o

Bah kata pepatah, sudah jatuh ditimpa tangga!

GREAT!

I never really had the chance to admire this wooden door before. *sigh*

But we managed to find our ways in the end, and worked till midnite. Dont ask me how. *dum dee dum* Those mainframe folks really gave us a hard time... implement something without having enuff testing. See what happen now? Our loads all failed!! *mumbling*

Now that everything has been resolved (finally), i sorta have the time to feel sleepy. The effect of the sleepless nights has taken over my whole body. I wonder if i have the energy to dance tonite. Maybe i shud curi curi sleep in the meeting room. Keke.

I kinda phobia whenever my pager beeps. My coll was trying to tell me to take it easy. "Dont worry, u will get used to it soon. I have been doing this for 5 years and im still here. u'll be ok, just take it easy and dont keep all this 2 urself."

So cool. *_*

Pikom PC Fair 2005

The day was started with a beep from the pager i was carrying since Friday. It was 5am in the morning, and i reluctantly woke up to check out the message. An error has occurred in one of the loads and i have to dial up to the company's network to recover the data. *sigh*

Mom and bro went to MidValley today to catch a movie and do some shopping. Since they will be out long, so i decided not to follow them, in case i needed to do support. Sacrifices have to be made...

Instead, me and 2 of my frens went to the KLCC Convention Centre for the Pikom PC Fair 2005. I thought of going there for a while only, get the stuff i want and then ciao. So if there is any beep, i should be able to reach home on time to work it out.

The new convention centre is really nice.. but as usual, super crowded. Those IT savvy finally came out from their caves to get the best bargain of the latest gadgets in the market. Sales people were yelling everywhere to attract anyone who came. *free printer, free pen drive*

Came home with my stuffs, was starving cos didnt get lunch and there was 10 miss calls on my hp and 7 beeps on my pager. Being in the exhibition hall was like separated from the outside world! -_-

Congratulations Kwok Fai!

Oh my god, im so damn happy now. Super duper hyperactive... *jumps up and down*

Kwok Fai won the Astro Talent Quest 2005!!!!!

It was like a dream comes true for him. I know that he has been wanting so much to win this competition and he has worked very very hard to achieve this goal.

When i saw him after the semifinals show in Astro, he looked so tired and exhausted. Getting not enuff sleep to give way for practices is really not easy. And with none of his family members by his side, frens are what he needed the most. That is why i was there in the studio (where u guys caught me on camera) to give him some mental support. At least he knew he was not alone.

Anyways, all his hard work did pay off. I am so happy and proud of him. ^_^

He walked away with a cash prize of RM35K + a Nissan Sentra 1.8L worth RM108,005. He will also be nominated by Astro to represent Malaysia in the upcoming international singing competition i.e. International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship 2005. *wow*

And i didnt know that he is so good in saxaphone.. im really amazed. O_o

He will be a SUPERSTAR now. Gonna be super super busy with a lot of stuffs... travelling here and there, making musics, taking photo shoots, making deal with adverts, etc, etc. Hopefully he will still remember us, and keep his feet on the ground!

Well, need to find one day when he is less busy (if there is) to congrats him in person and chit chat a bit about his new life. Peky, join us will ya?

Again, all the best in your future undertakings and hope to see your album soon, Ah Fai! Stay healthy! :P

Sweet Birthday 2 U, Siew Kuen!

This is dedicated to Siew Kuen or famously known as SKII in the company. Maybe there will be some of u who would wonder why is she called SKII? Is it because of the skincare product that she is using? Or is it because she looks a bit like Sammi Cheng?

No, no, no. Not that sort of reason.

My company has the tendency to call someone by their initial such as SP Lee, MJ Tee, LY Tang and etc. But there is already someone with the initial 'SK' in the company, thus she was named SK2 (as a nickname lar, but we call her Siew Kuen in actual).

We treated her for lunch in Vietnam Kitchen @ 1U today. The food is still as good as the 1st time i tasted them. *yum*yum*

All the best again darling!

By the way, i have finally graduated from my swimming class!! Yay, yay, yippie, yippie, yay, yay! The weather today is just perfect, no rain nor haze nor sun. I wanted to bitch about how the instructor acted earlier initially, but then mebbe i'll just treat him better and save all the bitching part cos he taught us til almost 8pm, way after our supposed end time. :P

He even told me to come on Sun to join the class, if i am free. So that means, i have extra classes to polish up my diving skill that i've just learnt today. The best thing is that i have no commitment to it, since it is something extra that i never thought i would get. *goody goody*

Sunrise Jazz & Rhythm Fest 2005

Ohh, i luv Jazz music!

And this Fri we have Shelly Leong & Jazz Odyssey performing @ Plaza Mont' Kiara fountain courtyard. *clapping hands* I have been hearing so much about her and the band all these while, but i just didnt manage to get any chance to see her in person. Plus, i got to know about this event today from my coll, right on time before her scheduled performance.

Should i go or should i not? Hmm, i can go there from the office after work since it is nearer than going from Ampang, but her session only starts at 9pm... What am i supposed to do in between that 3 hours +? *think, think, think*

Go meeting first. Continue later.

:: edited ::

Im back. And all my hopes were dashed! *waa*

The day that i've dreaded has come. I will be on duty starting tomorrow evening for a week!! Yes, i know i've been told about my new role to do support and carry pager and stuff, but i've never done it before mar. Im kinda lil bit scared.. what if there is any issue during that week (which is 100% guaranteed) and i dont even what or how im supposed to do to resolve it? *heart beating faster and faster*

This is a big pressure okay! Like a big rock himpit-ing my body.

And i was told (or should i say "threatened" :P) to stay close to home where internet connection is 24 hours available so that i could log on to the company's network and do whatever i am supposed to do when the pager beeps, indicating abnormalities. Well, that means no far far away outing, no makan trip, no late night out, no clubbing, no yumcha, and no Shelly Leong? This is bad... -_-

And only just a while ago i thought this is the chance of a lifetime for me to see her performance. Now it is like im so near, and yet so far!

Oh, great...

Heck, i just recalled that my ex-coursemate asked me out for clubbing this weekend to celebrate his success in proposing to his gf. And i was planning to go to my frens' convo in MMU, Malacca this Sun, plus some visiting and jln jln. Oh my gosh, why does everything has to happen at the same time one?? *damn*

Come to think of it, mebbe it is better to be the duty manager this coming week, rather than the week after. Cos it would be my birthday that weekend and i dont wanna stay at home working on that day. Hopefully this is a better alternative ... sad sad case.

Dont u guys try to switch off ur handphone! Bring it wherever u go, and answer my call k, cos i'll be most probably asking for help. Pleaseeeee....

Oopss, i thought it is gonna be a short post initially, but ended up this long. Keke, I guess things are not predictable sometimes. And it is already proven. *points up*

Recharge Revelation : The Ultimate Beach Party

Anybody up to this one? The return of the Melbourne shufflers...

For more info, please click here.

Another fire in Sumatra?

It must have been the super hot weather lately which resulted in another jungle caught in fire. I was a bit shocked when i came out from the office building just now. Immediately i switched on the radio and there was news about a fire in the Sumatra island. The wind brought all the smoke here (as usual -_-), and almost choked us alive!

Hazy sky... *cough*cough*

The weather was still fine during noon when i went out to tapao my lunch. Hopefully things will get better soon. Not another "darurat" please. :(
